NFL playoff droughts: Team most likely to end lengthy dry spell?

Back in the 2010 NFL playoffs, the Bears and Jets each fell one win shy of the Super Bowl.

Chicago’s loss was especially exasperating. Not only did it come to the irredeemable Packers and Aaron Rodgers, but it obviously only happened because Jay Cutler couldn’t play in the second half and we had to roll with Caleb Hanie. I mean, Hanie was still better than Rex Grossman, but he wasn’t Cutler. And the Bears lost.

I was upset, but reasoned this team would be back. And soon. We had our QB of the present and future, some studs up and down the roster. There was no way the Bears wouldn’t be in the mix for years to come. I’m sure Jets fans felt the same way.

Curry will start Andre Ethier Jersey anew with the Buccaneers, who completely revamped their defensive line. He’ll stand alongside rookie Vita Vea, Gerald McCoy and Jason Pierre-Paul across the front.

McCoy and Pierre-Paul should command attention as consistent, proven pass-rushers. They combine for 107 sacks in their respective careers. At 347 pounds, Vea will demand extra help on the interior. Curry could see frequent one-on-one opportunities on the edge. He’ll take advantage using speed and his relatively fresh legs.

However, with the Packers drafting three receivers last month -聽J’Mon Moore,聽Marquez Valdes-Scantling聽and聽Equanimeous St. Brown聽- it looks as if the Packers are not going to pursue Bryant and go with one of the three rookie receivers to possibly take the place of Nelson. But looks aren’t everything.

It’s not known if the Packers are in the running to sign Bryant or if they have any interest in bringing him in for a visit. What we do know is the Packers were reportedly looking for a wide receiver during free agency as they tried to sign聽Allen Robinson聽and聽Sammy Watkins.

Bryant is not the same receiver he was in 2014, but he still a better option than Robinson or Watkins and he would not have any problems fitting into the Packers offense. Bryant did tell Dallas Cowboys on 247Sports reporter Mike Fisher that he did not think he would sign with the Packers because of the history, but Patrik Walker of Dallas Cowboys on 247Sports said the Packers are still in play for Bryant.
